We have always remarked that get
your work done at rocket speed. Others remark that your progress should be on a
speedy track. Yes the context of the statement is understandable.
However
a recent study of a note in The Farnam Street, revealed one important
aspect of speed. I wish to reproduce the small section from the blog:
"Velocity and speed are different things. Speed
is the distance traveled over time. I can run around in circles with a lot of
speed and cover several miles that way, but I’m not getting anywhere. Velocity
measures displacement. It’s direction-aware."
