Recently one of the best Marathi
movie was released “ Khatyar Kaljat Ghusali” directed by Subodh Bhave ( Release
date November 2015). The movie has set the standard very high for Marathi
movies. This movie is an adaptation of a musical Marathi play with same name.
The outstanding feature of the
movie is the importance given to art and artist which is often neglected in
many of the Indian movies.
Performance of Sachin (ageless actor of Indian
cinema) is exceptionally great in personifying the artist with a self
destructive ego.
In this movie Sadashiv (
Character name) finds it difficult to get the right master for acquiring knowledge,
at that time Rajkavi gives importance of art by comparing it with knowledge. The discussion is
very important as it is knowledge which is considered supreme and the art is
ignored. The discussion led me to search for the difference between Knowledge,

I wish to reproduce here the
difference for a better understanding:

In a nutshell: If knowledge is information, wisdom is the
understanding and application of that knowledge and insight is the awareness of
the underlying essence of a truth.”
Besides stellar performance by Sachin, Movie highlights the journey of artist and his fight with himself.
To understand the journey and the plight of an artist movie is worth watching.
